Macaron Mitts Kit — Hyacinth
These fingerless mitts are knitted in the round and are ideal for those wanting a small project. The decoration is by simple use of space dyed yarn for the ribbing. Although they are fingerless, there are short open thumbs in the design to help keep the mitts in place during wear. They are knitted in a DK weight wool which is from a Whitefaced Woodland flock here in Cumbria. This pattern is one size, suitable for ladies’ hands. The palm is in the undyed ecru version, and to make them more fun the ribbing at the top and bottom is knitted with the same wool which has been hand-dyed using only natural dye extracts, which are both wash and lightfast, by ‘Brambles & Me’.
Three different colourways are available — Tiger Lily, Snapdragon and Hyacinth. Care guidelines, provided by Brambles & Me, are enclosed in the kit.
To knit these mitts you will need a set of 3.5 mm double-pointed needles.
