These pretty lace backed fingerless mittens, knitted in DK wool, have practical plain palms. Knitted in the round to avoid seams, these kits are available in four single breed British wool versions. Manx Loaghtan is a primitive breed, giving a warm toffee coloured yarn. North Ronaldsay, also a primitive breed, is the seaweed eating sheep from the Orkney islands north of Scotland. The dyed, Bluefaced Leicester is one of the softest wools available availabe in cherry red or aubergine. The pattern has two adult sizes.
To knit the mittens you will need a set of 3.5 mm double pointed needles for both sizes.
